It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Ruth Hanson of Cheboygan, Michigan, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Ruth Hanson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Haut and Norma Schultz; her husband Gerald Hanson; her son Jerry Lee Hanson; her grandson Zachary Scott Wood; and her siblings, Lois Coy, Marilyn Witbeck, Howard Haut and Glen Haut.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Wood (Doyle), Jeannie Kolb (Rick), Jeff Hanson (Kristie) and Jill Moore (Keith); her grandchildren, Ryan Eustice, Janae Russell (Jay), Charla Burill (Zac), Jessica Powers (Pitch), Callie Barr (Matt), Jennifer Lucas, Karrah Cesario (Carmine), Molly Jonna (James), Erik Hanson (Jeremy) and Mackenzie Steele (Justin); her siblings, Delores King, Charlene McNitt, Wayne Haut and Randy Haut; and her pet Buddy. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home (302 S Huron St, Cheboygan, MI 49721). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
