He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joseph Vits and Joyce Havrilka. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Gruen; and his children, Mary Ann Powell of San Diego, California, Linda Carroll Greene (Joe) of Cheboygan, Michigan, Nancy Simpson (Rob) of Pana, Sharon Walter (Jim) of Tower Hill and Gary Vits of Decatur. He is also survived by several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
