It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David John Garthus of Cheboygan, Michigan, born in Wrenshall, Minnesota, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Garthus and Leone Garthus; and his brother Dennis (Duann). He is survived by: his wife Betty Bur; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Bur, Barbara Dykstra, Jo-Ann LaHaie and Timothy Bur (Lo-Ann). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
