He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph VanHorne and Marie VanHorne (Sova); his wife Diane (Couture); and his siblings, Joanne and Rodney.
He is survived by: his children, Lois Portman (George) of Cheboygan, Terry VanHorne (Susan Balbaugh) of Kalamazoo and Brad VanHorne of Cheboygan; his grandchildren, Chuck Portman, Krystal Tyrrell (Dave), Evan VanHorne and Jacob VanHorne; and his siblings, Gary, William (Debbie), Richard, Christine Redmond (Pete) of Cheboygan and Susie (Jeannie) of Grawn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
