She was predeceased by: her father Richard Gearu; and her brothers, John Gearu and Glen Gearu. She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Wellman; her son-in-law Brandon Nelson of Limestone; her granddaughter Ady; her close friend Jerry Hill of Chatham; and her siblings, Carol Gearu of Munising, Clay Gearu of Marquette, Diane Clausen of Kansas, Kay Myers (Bob) of Gladstone, Theodore Gearu (Jean) of Baraga, Kenneth Gearu and Linda Seppi (John) of Chatham. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
