He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Johnson and Dorithy Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Johnson (Nettleton) of Chatham; his daughter Gina Rider (Johnson); his grandchildren, Aaron Johnson, Lilly Rider, Jason Rider, Jr. and Alina Lee Beyer; and his siblings, Jim Johnson (Marsha), Philip Johnson (Robin), Mary Johnson (Ken Allen), Jane Quanbeck (Mark) and Connie Johnson-Evers (Steve).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Free Lutheran Church (E2990 M-94, Eben Junction, MI 49825). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
He worked as a prison guard in Ionia and Alger Correctional Facilities until he took early retirement due to his diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease.
