He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Parkinson and Josephine Parkinson (Schaefer); his former wife Christine; his son David, Jr.; and his brother Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Parkinson; his daughter Angela Ashbaker (Shannon); his stepchildren, Aaron Anderson (Ieva) and Bonnie Boris (Patrick); his grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Collin, Brittany Fischer, Gage Parkinson, Kristen Long (Taylor) and Avalynn Swick; and his siblings, George Parkinson (Barbara), Larry Parkinson, Charles Parkinson (Louise) and Mary Morris.
David E. Parkinson, age 76, died following a brief illness at UPHS – Marquette on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. He was born on April 6, 1947 in West Branch, Michigan to the late Lawrence and Josephine (Schaefer) Parkinson.
