Arvo Takkinen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arvo Takkinen of Chatham, Michigan, who passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Abel Takkinen and Saima Takkinen (Posa); his wife Ada Bossom; his son Kenny Takkinen; his siblings, Leslie Takkinen, Irene Ilkka, Impi Lindquist, Tyne Hautamaki and Ava Takkinen; and his son-in-law Mark Setterlind.
He is survived by: his children, Patsy Hemmila (Ken) of Negaunee, Rose Setterlind of Negaunee, Bernie "Sonny" Takkinen of Vandalia, MI and Donnie Takkinen of Chatham; and his grandchildren, Amy, Aaron, Brent, Emily, Stephen, Robert, Erin and Jill. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Michigan's executive orders, masks will be required, and social distance rules will be in place.
