He is survived by: his children, Daniel Parkkila and Lynn Parkkila; and his stepchildren, Nona Niemi (Leo), Pam Johnson (Wayne), Diane Adams and William Chasteen (Janice). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
