She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Matilda and C. G. Carlson; her husband Norbert Henry Naumes; her daughter Mary Kay Naumes (Norbert Naumes); her son-in-law Darrel Vertanen; her siblings, Linnea Wolter (Roy), Margaret Carlson, Violet Beltonen (George), Harry Carlson (Dolly), George Carlson and Donald Carlson (Margie); and her nieces and nephews, Robert Wolter, Michael Carlson, Pat Carlson, Carlos Koski, Valerie Koski, David Mikkola and Jason Mikkola.

She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Vertanen; her grandchildren, Rich Vertanen (Michelle), Joel Vertanen (Amy) and Jill Geric (Josh); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Geric, Kenzie Geric, Colette Vertanen, Brooks Vertanen and Brady Vertanen.

Florence was a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary in Chassell, a Brownie leader and tireless volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
