She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Laurila and Ida Laurila (Wiitala); her husband Preceding; and her siblings, Armand Laurila, Verna Niemi and Margaret Aho.
She is survived by: her children, Gregg Walkikainen (Vivian) of Vancouver, WA and Betsy Walikainen-Laux (Tony) of Chassell; her brother Stan Laurila of Toivola, Her; and her pet Laila. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorial donations in Anita's memory be given to the Omega House in Houghton or the Copper Country Humane Society.
