The passing of Wanda Jean Allen of Charlotte, Michigan, born in Marion, Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 29, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vilace Austin and Fanny Lou Austin (Peake); her nieces and nephews, Michael Allen, Robert Allen III, Susan Allen Speers and Terra Schultz; her grandson-in-law Liam O'Connor; and her sister Etta Dean.
She is survived by: her husband John J. Allen; her daughter Cindy Hosek (Jon); her grandchildren, Alaina Williams, Emily Hosek (Tim Arrington), Zachary Hosek and Noah Hosek; her great grandchildren, Mason, Keegan and Ensley O'Connor; and her sisters, Brenda Smith-McMurren (Mac) of Washington, Betty Straley of Virginia and Linda Heath (Bill) of Virginia. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many her dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home (206 W Lawrence Ave, Charlotte, MI 48813). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
