He is survived by: his children, James Todd Merrick, Jeffery Dean Merrick (Terri) and Jesse Allan Merrick (Skye); his grandchildren, Shelby, Brody, Avery, Elle and Theodore; his great grandchildren, Cooper and Jackson; his sister Linda Brizendine (Herbert); and his nephews, Matthew Brizendine (Lisa) and Nicholas Brizendine (Kelly).
