He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; his son John Joppie; and his siblings, Russell Joppie, Earl Joppie and Maxine Harag.

He is survived by: his parents, Henry Joppie and Dorthea Joppie; his children, James Joppie (Delsa) and Angela Parker (Greg); his daughter-in-law Diana Joppie; his granddaughters, Lauren St (Brian) and Grace Boehmer (Evan); his great grandchildren, Everett St, Faith St and Belle Boehmer; his sister Phyllis Fenstemaker (Emery); and his sister-in-law Evelyn Joppie.

If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter.
