He was predeceased by: his father Edward Fiala; and his siblings, Eddy and Christine. He is survived by: his mother Grace Fiala (Duffy); his sons, Kevin Fiala (Corrin) and Alex Fiala; his siblings, Brian Fiala and Kathy Smith (Roger); and his former wife Mary Fiala.
