He was predeceased by: his brother Steve Mitterling. He is survived by: his parents, Jim Mitterling and Pat Mitterling (Henley) of Akron, Indiana; his wife Laura Ann Jerrils; his children, James Mitterling (Anna) of Alpena and Jennifer Holt (Mitchell) of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Connor, Carter and Kaylin; his brothers, Stan Mitterling (Carol) of Akron and Randy Mitterling (Susan) of Noblesville, Indiana; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Bostwick (Bill) of Wahalla, Rick Jerrils (Barb) of Lake Wales and Chuck Jerrils (Lorri) of Sparta. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
