It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Sassaman of Charlotte, Michigan, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Elles and Julia Elles; her grandparents, Frank and Nellie Spaudling; her husband Franklin Sassaman; her son Dr. Frank Sassaman; her brothers, Edward Elles, Frank Dee Elles and David Elles (W. W. II); her children, David Sassaman (Josie) of Cambria, CA, Julie Humphrey (Dick) of Maple Grove, MN, Margie VanderVelde (Kim) and Carey Spotts (Brad); her daughter-in-law Marilyn Sassaman of Kalamazoo, MI.; her grandchildren, Eric, Joe, Doug, Meg, Tyler, Julianna, Brooke, Annie and Betsy; and her great grandchildren, David, Doug, Maria, Sophie, Lucy, Harper, Kale, Emma, Trevor, Damon, Julia, Brady, Ally, Graham and Adeliah.
