He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Winters and Margaret Winters (Silverthorn); his daughter Betty Brown; his grandson Daniel Fell; and his siblings, Kenneth Winters, William Winters, Shirley Oswald and Ila May Royston.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Beals-Patterson; and his children, Tom Winters, Peggy Gardner (David), Carla Fell (Mike) and Robert Patterson (Starr). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
