It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Oliver of Charlotte, Michigan, born in West Liberty, Illinois, who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Oliver and Fannie Oliver (Buchanan); his daughter Sunie Oliver; and his siblings, Ted Oliver, Marian Jessup, Betty Dunevant and Ellen "Cricket" Aldrich.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Oliver; his children, Gary Oliver (Yolanda) of DeWitt, Sue Oliver of Eaton Rapids and Sheryl Oliver of Eaton Rapids; his grandchildren, Eric Cervantes, Stacy Lemon (Travis), Jayme Lawton (Jesse), Angela Oliver, Robert Oliver (Mary), Meagan McLouth (Randy), Sara Latham (Jeremy) and Joshua Oliver (Rebecca); and his siblings-in-law, Carol Oliver and Jim Aldrich. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.
