It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Lavern French of Charlotte, Michigan, born in Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Lee and Lonny Lee (Smith); her husband Gaylen French; and her daughter Betty Lou Wells. She is survived by: her children, Patsy Towe of Charlotte and Tom Wells of Roseville; and her brother Wayne Lee (Barb) of Alabama. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
