She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry H. Leik and Dorothy Leik (Kowatch); her husband David Melvin Sanders; her son Michael David Sanders; and her sisters, Rita Secor and Joan Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Malerba and Mitchell Sanders (Angela Dorsett); her grandchildren, Marci Kohler (Jerry), Andrea Cherwinski (Jeremie), David Sanders (Nichole) and Blair Dorsett; her great grandchildren, Blake Malerba, Carson Kohler, David, Eva, Ana and Jacob Sanders; her siblings, Rosemary Fouts, Richard Leik, Elicia Rademaker, Francis Leik (Pat), Larry Leik (Rosemary) and Judy Feneis; and her goddaughter Elaine Marshall. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to either the Charlotte Fire Department Christmas Kiddies Program, any animal shelter of one's choosing, or the Charlotte High School Bird Feeder.
