He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerrol D. Carey Sr. and Sarah Greene; his former wife Sandra Carey; and his son Matthew Scott Carey. He is survived by: his stepfather Jerry Greene; his children, Nicholas Carey (Aprylle), Michael Carey (Alex) and Leah Atkinson (John); his grandchildren, Nicholas Carey Jr. (Alexis), Alex Castle, Connor Roberson, Demitri, Dominik Carey, Madelyn, Theo Atkinson, Roxanne and Iris Carey; his sisters, Laura Beckum (Glen) and Dawn Klein (Adam); and his close friends, Danny Pettit Jr. and Fred Sherman (Susan). He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
