He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Carey and Rosalee Carey (VanCamp); his brothers, Denny and Robert Carey; and his grandson Matthew Scott Carey.
He is survived by: his children, Jerrol Carey Jr. and Laura Beckum; his grandchildren, Nicholas Carey (Apryll), David Garcia, Danielle Garcia, Michael Carey (Alexandra) and Leah Atkinson (John); his great grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Demetri, Dominic, Madelyn and Roxanne; his siblings, Jeff Carey (Sharon), Mike Carey (Debbie), Kay Strouse (Mike) and Susan Norris (Chuck); and his friend Carlos. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
