She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dowling and Loretta Dowling (Barker); her husband Joseph Tarnowski; her daughter Mary Young; her siblings, Betty Lewis, Loretta Rush (Orin) and William Dowling Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Melvin Rademacher and Marcie Dowling.

She is survived by: her children, Laura Vipond (Robert) of Charlotte, John Tarnowski (Debra) of California and Loretta Bouse (Glenn) of Ypsilanti; and her sister Laura Rademacher of Mississippi. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild.
