He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wells and Juanita Wells (Maynard); his granddaughter Jessica Cooper; and his pet Lucy. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Katrina Butler (Robert) of Bunker Hill, Kristina Hamilton (John) of Alton, IL, Lisa Bowen (Kraig) of Charlotte, MI, Gary Wells Jr. of Charlotte and Thomas Wells (DeeAdra) of Kansas City, MO; and his siblings, Marvin Wells (Neva) of Charlotte, Sharon Wells of Wilsonville, IL and Ivan Wells (Annette) of Charlotte. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
