He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Carpenter and Susan Carpenter (Church); and his son Greg Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Fran; his children, Jeff Carpenter (Sandy), Donnis Eshelman, Denise Wilson and Jenella Smith (TJ); his daughter-in-law Kathy Carpenter; and his brother John Carpenter. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
