He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Mears and Sylvia Mears (Tefft); and also, Thurman "Sonny" Mears, Scott, Richard and Frances Jelinek.
He is survived by: his aunts, Charlice Crane and Nila Baldwin; and also, Sylvia Mears, Joy Martin, Sandy Hook, Ron Hook (Peg) and Randy Hook (Leona). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
