He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolla Viele and Cleo Viele (Crook); his son Raymond N; and his siblings, John Viele, Jeanette Strait and Mary Trowbridge.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Joppie; his great grandchildren, Juliana, Mary Louise, April and Evelyn; his grandchildren, Brandy, Justin, Ethan, Nichole and Eren; his children, Charles Viele Jr. (Kathy Kolodica) of Charlotte, Jeanne Straub (Mel) of Lowell, Denise Berry (Dale) of Vermontville and Maurene Viele (Karl Sorensen) of California; and his sister Rachel Weiler of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
