He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Geer and Evelyn Geer; and his siblings, Joann Geer and Terry Geer. He is survived by: his wife Sally Geer; his son Bobby Geer (Hawk); his grandchildren, Alan (Hondo), Tanner Geer (Desaray) and Sara McClanathan; his great grandchildren, Kamden Geer and Reva Geer; and his sister Artis Galnares (John).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Athletic Department of Charlevoix High School.
