She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver DeYoung and Lottie DeYoung; her husband Tracy Curtis; her daughter Suzanne Jo Curtis; her parents-in-law, Russell and Gertrude Curtis; and her brother Gary DeYoung.
She is survived by: her children, Tracine Hummel (Travis), Kathrine Curtis and Russell Curtis (Tobi); her grandson Gordon Desch; her children, Molly Desch, Matthew Desch, David Hummel, Lily Curtis and Chloe Curtis; her great grandchildren, Kaylee and Kayden Brennen; and her siblings, Charlene Lydick and Patrick DeYoung (Nadine). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (Genesis Church) (11906 Old US 31 Hwy N, Charlevoix, MI 49720). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charlevoix Humane Society.
