He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Caruso and Julia Caruso (Spagnuolo); his son Nicholas Caruso; his parents-in-law, Pasquale and Carolyn Fortino; his siblings, Frank Caruso and Arlene Dodge; and his son-in-law William Malinoff.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Fortino; his daughters, Julia Malinoff, Diane Grace (Jeff), Kathryn Grace (James), Mary Lee Caruso, Annette Gosselin (George), Christine Martin and Joanne Schultz (Michael); and his daughter-in-law Virginia Caruso. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
