It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John James Witherspoon of Charlevoix, Michigan, born in Cloquet, Minnesota, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 28, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James, Lois Witherspoon, Cornelius and Dorothy Tookalo; his sister Jennifer Louise Witherspoon; and his aunt Carole Dyer-Oudin.
He is survived by: his parents, John Witherspoon and Sandra Witherspoon; his siblings, Sarah Rostar (Mike) and Nathan Shawano; his nieces and nephews, Wren Massey, Jordin Harrell (Tay), Tyler Gellis, Claire Tennant, Alexia Massey, Dayton Shawano and Calob Rostar; his great-nephew Cai Tennant-Rose; and his aunts and uncles, Patricia Deckrow (James), Connie DiDomenico (Don), Louis Oudin, Jonathan, Daniel Oudin and Luke Fertal. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions can be mailed or given to John and Sandra Witherspoon to assist John's Legionaire brothers.
