He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Comber and Rosa Comber (Taylor); his wife Kathleen Comber; and his siblings, Bill Comber and Louise Mills.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Comber (Dennis Schneider) and John Comber (Melanie); his sister Dorothy Teasdale (Don); his grandchildren, Charlie Comber (Natalie Ferrer), Amie Comber and Noah Comber; and his great grandchild Mara Morley.
