She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Brooks and Marion Brooks (Gardner); her husband Walter Francis Hoffmann; her brother William Brooks; and her niece Sally Grutsch.

She is survived by: her nephew Fred Brooks (Cindy) of Charlevoix; and her niece Ginny Petrie (Brad) of East Jordan.

“So sorry Fred and Cindy about Betty, really enjoyed our time in Charlevoix with her, from late 80's renting from her old farmhouse where are youngest son was born to all the return hunting trip's i had with many friend's. She was a unique lady. One of my best memory's was shooting an 8 point out in the middle of field, Betty came out with 5 gallon bucket of water to use to clean up after taking care of buck. There are many other memory's but that was #1.”
