He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kerner and Winefred Kerner (Bannister); his wife Ethel Kerner; his granddaughter Celia Keehn; his brother Joseph; his nephew James; and his sisters, Helen, Darlene and Lilly.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Jr. Kerner (Diane) and Lori Buckner (David); his grandchildren, Jennifer Bingman (Syrus), Breanne Roberts (Justin), Tanya McKinnie (Jim), Tabitha Soullier (Daniel) and Allen Keehn (Julie); his great grandchildren, Liam, Sebastian, Edmond, Lucy, Autumn, Alexis, Addison and Braedon; his niece Melody Sheldon; and his close friend Miss Molly (Kei Ju Farm). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his estate, C/O Lori Buckner, 6685 M66 N., Lot 74, Charlevoix, MI 49720, to be contributed to Charlevoix Humane Society and Kei Ju Farm.
