In loving memory of Catherine Novotny of Charlevoix, Michigan, who departed this world on June 30, 2024 at the age of 85. Catherine leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen Steffel (Hartlep) and Frank Steffel; her husband James Novotny; her sons, Lawrence Rhine, Antonio Rhine and George Rhine; and her brothers, Donald and Bruce Steffel.
She is survived by: her children, Victoria Rhine of Fayetteville, NC, Pat Rhine (Sarah) of Parkton, NC, Kathleen Bradley of Charlevoix, Chery Ripley (Robert) of Traverse City, James Novotny Jr. of Charlevoix and Jeffery (Cynthia) of Charlevoix; her brother Bill Steffel (Sandy); and her caregiver Maxine Miller. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Michigan.
