He is survived by: his wife Stephanie; his children, Kristy Jopek of South Carolina, Katie Mariani of Chicago and Greg Kurzawski of Indiana; his stepsons, Bill Hepler of Battle Creek and Bob Hepler of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Denise Mariani, McKenzie Jopek, Marek Jopek, Brooke and Samuel; his sister Sherry of Colon; his nephew Jeff Wilder; and his niece Jessica Wilder.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service (375 W Dickman Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49037). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Philip Roman Catholic Church (112 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017).
