He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence DeForest and Electa DeForest (Barnes); his wife Barbara Tooke; his son Kenneth DeForest; his grandson Robby Morton; his great grandchild John White Jr.; and his sisters, Ruby Chisholm, Goldie Bancroft, Pearl Martindale, Ada Peck, Florence Mason, Sylvia DeHaan and Louise Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Connor (Darcy) of LaPorte, TX, Tammy DeForest of South Houston, TX and Tad DeForest (Tina) of Central Lake; his sister Bette Horner of Caro; and his grandchildren, Melissa Morton, Mike Hopper (Dee), Jason Mills, Danielle Connor, Ashley Morton, Alyssa Morton, Timothy DeForest (Carly) and Taylor DeForest (Kaileigh). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be given to the family.
