He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Charlton and Helen Charlton (Chidsey); his wife Mary Ellen; his son Robert C Jr; and his siblings, Patricia Young, Bill and Dick Charlton.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Charlton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
