He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Strat and Fern Ver Strat (Ogden); and his siblings, Velma and Melvin. He is survived by: his spouse Barbara Ann Gilbert; and his children, Debora (Morgan) and George (Sierra). He is also survived by several other children and loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Bill (Betty) Ver Strat, sister Florence Thatcher, sister in law Carol (Tom) Haner, cousin.
