He was predeceased by: his parents, David Sr. Pruitt and Linda Pruitt (Barnes); his sister Sherry Pruitt; and his nephew Cary Joe Fisher. He is survived by: his significant other Debbie Comstock; his children, Jamie Charles Pruitt of Jackson, MI, Nancy Brown of Texas, Richard Brown of Lansing and Joann Brown of Ecorse, MI; his siblings, Gary Pruitt of Bellaire, Michael Pruitt (Jamie) of Escanaba and Melissa Tracey (Henry) of Kalkaska; and his pet Leroy. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, and sent to 7670 Mile Point Drive, Central Lake, MI 49622.
