He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jr. Bird and Margaret Bird (Dickerson); his son Tom Barron; and his siblings-in-law, Keith Lockwood and Gail Burgess.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his son Charles Marshall (Kristin); and his siblings-in-law, Roger Burgess and Karen Lockwood. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; five living sisters.
Memorial donations in David's memory may be given to the American Cancer Society.
