He was predeceased by: his father Robert Frederick; and his sister Kitty Lee Sims. He is survived by: his mother Kitty Myrle Sims (Norlin); his sons, Ryan Sims (Robyn) of Velva and Randy Sims (Lindsey) of Richland, Michigan; his grandchildren, Gavin and Avery; and his siblings, Marlene Blanchette (Randall) of Muskegon, Michigan and David Sims (Gayle) of Lowell, Michigan..
