She was predeceased by: her parents, Hughie Leach and Marie Leach (McLaughlin); her former husband Cleve Lockhart; her husband Jim Pitko; her siblings, Jim, Bob, Gerald, Terry Leach, Irene Leach, Betty Anderson and Phyllis Schmitigal; and her siblings-in-law, Irene Alto and Karl Pikto.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Norma Leach, Marcia Leach and Conrad Schmitigal Jr.; her stepchildren, John J. Pitko II (Sherry) and Kathy Woodward (Rocky); and her siblings-in-law, Jackie Pitko and Louis Pitko (Mary). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
During high school she won a Kellogg Foundation Scholarship to attend an eight-week short course at Michigan State University.
