It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Andrew Markstrom of Cedarville, Michigan, who passed away on August 13, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, August Markstrom and Mary Markstrom; his siblings, Louis Markstrom, Jenny Markstrom and Betty Izzard (Herman); and his former wife Hazel Huyck.
He is survived by: his wife Mae Markstrom; his children, Marlene Roach (Richard) of West Branch, Michigan, Darryl Markstrom (Cindy) of Williamston and Gary Markstrom (Ginny) of Howell, Michigan; his grandchildren, Michael Roach of Baroda and Joni Roach (Mike Preuss) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; his stepgrandchildren, Robyn Strong, Nichole Strong (Ed Cruz) of Grand Rapids and Austin Strong of Howell, Michigan; and his brothers, Bill Markstrom (JoAnn) of Sault Ste, Ray Markstrom (Ruth) of Cedarville and Jim Markstrom (Janet) of Cheboygan, Michigan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Bethel Lutheran Church, Cedar Cove, or McLaren Hospice of Cheboygan, MI.
