She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarance Vanderveen and Lola Vanderveen (Cobb); her son Randy Cartwright (Kim); her sister JoAnne Swanson (Carl); her husband Harley L. Cartwright; her sons, Harley Bruce Cartwright and Dennis Cartwright Sr.; her daughter-in-law Diane Cartwright; and her siblings, Dorothy Ritchie (Jim), Minnie Johns (Raymond), Mamie Mumper (Jerry) and William McNally. She was also cherished by 16 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many "acquired" grandchildren.
