He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Roberts (Jim) of Elkhart, Cari Haus (David) of Cedar Lake, Carla McPherson (Ovid) of Monrovia and Deryl Hoyt Jr. of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, James Howard (Nicole), Angela McPherson, Kara Bolenbaugh (Matt), Michael Haus (Andrea), Raquel Jamieson-Lee (Peter), Laurel Barnes (Zane), Matthew Haus (Emily) and Tori Roberts; his sister-in-law Jane Liles King; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Caralena, Silas, Elijah, Hadasa, Zebediah, Luke and Haley.
