We bid farewell to Ruth Elizabeth Newton of Cassopolis, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 19, 2024 at the age of 92. Ruth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Ivens and Pearl Ivens; her husband James Bernette Newton; her son James Earl Newton; her grandson LaDale Smith; and her siblings, Helen Singer, Kermit Ivens and Carrol Ivens.
She is survived by: her sons, Ivan Byron of Cassopolis and David Newton (Amy) of Argos, Indiana; her grandchildren, Erick Wright, Keanna Giles, Ivanna Byron, Robert Ross, Iesha Ross, Haley Luther, Eddy Luther and Marcus Newton; and her friend Levarius Macon. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild.
