He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopold Hassle and Ella Hassle (Ziemke); and his brother Fritz Hassle. He is survived by: his wife Harriett Bishop; his children, Ruth Ausra (Terry), Lory Schoff (Bill), Mary Sell (Marty), Joe Hassle, Jr. (Martha), Polly Irons (Mike), John Hassle (Michelle), Sandy Stutsy (Mike) and Scott Hassle (Nicole); and his pets, Peppi and Toby. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
