He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Roy Bergman and Lois Bergman (Townsend); his wife Nell Jane Street; and his brother Roy Thomas Bergman. He is survived by: his children, Jane Bergman of Cassopolis and Roy Bergman of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Gregory Sampson (Erin Chimney), Ellen Jane Bergman and Mary Elizabeth Bergman; and his great grandchildren, Lillian Jane Sampson and Margaret June Sampson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wagner Family Funerals Connelly Chapel (202 N Broadway St, Cassopolis, MI 49031). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

The family prefers contributions in his memory be made to Cass County Animal Control, 323 M-62, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031, or to Corewell Health Hospice and Palliative care, 4025 Health Park Lane, Saint Joseph, Michigan 49085.
